Not at all! Cross stitch is one of the easiest forms of embroidery to learn. Once you understand the three basic stitches used in cross stitch, you are ready to start.
The fabric grid naturally guides your stitches, which makes cross stitching very beginner-friendly. If you can count and hold a needle, you can cross stitch.
Each Happy X Craft pattern and kit includes a difficulty level marked with scissors (1–3 scissors). This rating helps you understand the complexity based on stitch types, colour variations, and design size.
How long does a project take?
Cross stitching is a relaxing and time-intensive craft. The time needed depends mainly on the size and complexity of the design.
Small projects can often be completed within a few hours, while larger or more detailed designs may take several days or weeks. Many stitchers enjoy cross stitching as a slow, mindful creative hobby.

No. Happy X Craft designs use the counted cross stitch method.

Should I buy a kit or a pattern?
This depends on your experience level and the supplies you already own.

• Kits are perfect for beginners or anyone who prefers having everything included.
Some Happy X Craft kits include hand-dyed threads or special materials that may be difficult to source individually.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Happy X Craft prioritizes sustainability and waste reduction. For this reason, gift wrapping is not currently available.
However, if your order is a gift, you can include a personal message during checkout. The message will be written on a recycled greeting card.
Do you offer custom designs?
At the moment, Happy X Craft does not offer custom pattern or kit design services.

Happy X Craft patterns and kits are intended for personal use.
You may create finished stitched items for personal enjoyment or gifting.
Selling finished stitched pieces in small handmade quantities may be allowed only with credit to Happy X Craft as the designer.
The pattern files, instructions, and charts may never be copied, shared, redistributed, or resold.
Can I gift finished stitched pieces?
Yes, absolutely. Handmade cross stitch projects make wonderful personal gifts for friends, family, teachers, and colleagues.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Happy X Craft ships worldwide for physical products.
Digital patterns are available instantly worldwide via download after purchase.
