About Happy x craft

Happy X Craft was not built in a moment of clarity.
It was built in the quiet hours of the evening, after everything else was done.
After the children were asleep.
After the house finally exhaled.

My Story

In those small pockets of time, I found my way back to myself — through thread and fabric.

I come from Moldova, where embroidery was never just decoration.
It was part of life.
Women stitched stories into towels, clothing, and home textiles — often drawing patterns by hand on simple grid paper, passing them from one generation to the next.

My grandmother embroidered. She sewed clothes.
And without knowing it, she taught me how to see meaning in every symbol.

When I stitch today, something shifts.
No matter how heavy the day felt, after a while, everything becomes quieter. Softer. Clearer.

Embroidery brings me back — to childhood, to memory, to a slower rhythm of life.

I remember summers at the countryside.
The smell of fresh bread from the oven.
My hands in the dough, shaping small birds beside my grandmother.
Long days in the garden until my arms were trembling.
Potatoes baked in fire, eaten with salt, onion, and radish — simple, but unforgettable.

These are not just memories.
They live inside everything I create.

Today, through Happy X Craft, I translate those feelings into modern cross stitch patterns.
Not to replicate the past — but to carry its meaning forward.

Because for me, embroidery is not just craft.

It is quiet.
It is memory.
It is a form of healing.

And a way to keep a part of home, even when you are far from it.

With love,
